We offer three player streams - Development, Competitive and High Performance.
DEVELOPMENT The development stream starts at age 5 and goes to age 18. From ages 5-13, athletes learn, and perfect, the basic skills of the game with an empasis on fun, overall athletic devepment as well as preparation for the Competitive stream. From ages 14-18, the development stream will serve as the entry point for any new players to the game, and will also continue to prepare athletes for the Competitive stream. The 18U age class is for those athletes who love the game and enjoy competing, but are not interested in playing volleyball at the college or university level.
COMPETITIVE The Competitive stream is for ages 15-18 and is designed to get athletes ready for the High Performance stream as well as preparing them to play at the post-secondary CCAA/ACAA college level. Athletes will learn the tactical and technical skills needed at the next level and teams will compete in the Volleyball New Brunswick age class tournaments and Provincial Championships.
HIGH PERFORMANCE The High Performance stream is for athletes ages 16-18 and is designed to prepare athletes to play at the post-secondary CIS/AUS university level. Athletes will spend time perfecting their technical skills and learning advanced tactical skills as well as competing in Volleyball New Brunswick age class tournaments and Provincial Championships, various out-of-province competitions and the Volleyball Canada National Championships.
COACHING We offer a coaching stream to allow coaches to reach their best potential as well. We have in-house trainers, working in conjunction with Volleyball New Brunswick, to teach the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses. We take a community approach to coaching with all coaches working together to improve skills and knowledge through group forums, mentoring, seminars and workshops. We will prepare coaches to go as far as they choose, from Development to Competitive to High Performance to CCAA or to CIS.
